Bezier curves

This time inspiration came from this site. As you can imagine I decided to copy this in Excel.

Bezier

How?
Simply: let’s start with coordinates of 4 points and counter Points will become parameters of curve and slider will determine at which point we want to take “snapshot”.

The rest is calculation of positions of pointers in precise point of time. Procedure is simple – for given two points we put next point in x where x is percentage of distance between them (0 is first point 100 is second). Than we have to repeat this procedure 2 more times with obtained points.

Most calculations aren’t shown in plot for clarity – those are intermediate Bezier lines of lower orders.

I’ve put also sliders so that one can easily play and change starting coordinates. Lastly simple macro changes slider value automatically and produces animation-like appearance.

Why repeat something that is already done?
Because I can. And to train Excel haxior skilz.
